The gold trim on the edges really pops against the grey, way nicer than the plastic shields I've seen at party stores. My daughter wore it for a whole afternoon of pretend jousting and the lion emblem stayed put. Solid little piece for the price.

The lion crest on this shield is way more detailed than I expected for the price, and the grey and gold combo looks properly regal. It's light enough that my kid wore it all afternoon without complaining.

Bought this for my son's knight costume and he refuses to take it off. The lion crest is raised rather than printed flat, which makes it look way better than the cheap cardboard shields we've had before.
